The Chairman of Asharqia Chamber of Commerce, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khaldi, met the South African Ambassador, Kusbert Thimba Khobushi, on Thursday 8/3/2018. The two sides exchanged views on several topics of mutual interest.
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Chamber in Dammam, and was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber, Hamad bin Mohammed
Al-Buali, Secretary General, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabil, and in the presence of Dr. Saeed Al Qahtani.
During the meeting, Al-Khalidi stressed the common points between South Africa and the Kingdom and the search for more cooperation projects between the two countries in various fields, especially the economic field. He pointed out that the investment environment in the Kingdom is stimulating and encouraging institutions that are coming from South Africa.
Moreover, Kusbert stressed the need to deepen the bonds of cooperation and raise the level of coordination between the two countries, especially between private sector institutions in both countries. He ensured that the future premises many joint projects, especially under the support of the two governments.
It is noteworthy that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries amounted to about 13.8 billion riyals in 2016. The two countries aspire to enhance exchange levels on wider horizons that serve the economies of both countries.
