The Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber, Abdulrahman
bin Abdullah Al Wabil, discussed the strategic importance of the Eastern Region
and its relation to the positive indicators and to attract foreign investments
to the Kingdom in light of the presence of industrial cities in the region,
pointing to the presence of many large foreign companies in the region.
During
his meeting with the Australian ambassador to Riyadh, Bernard Lynch, and
economic and political adviser at the Canadian embassy in Riyadh Alia Mawani,
Al Wabel reviewed the importance of the Kingdom vision 2030 and the national transformation
program 2020 and its role in transforming the total dependence on the oil and
gas sector to rely on a variety of resources, He
stressed the role of Asharqia Chamber in improving and supporting the economic
and industrial sector and its various initiatives aiming to develop the sector,
the most important of which is the establishment of the first specialized
center of small and medium institutions which provides many services to the
Chamber participants.
The
secretary general of the Chamber also discussed during the meeting the
importance of increasing the level of trade exchange between the Kingdom and
Australia and Canada, and the importance of increasing non oil exports to these
two countries by working to host trade delegations from both countries and
organizing catalogs for companies wishing to deal with Saudi companies.
