Al Rashid seeking to strengthen mutual relations between the Kingdom and the U.S
Received the U.S. Consul in Dhahran
Asharqia Chairman Abdulrahman Rashid Al Rashid confirmed that Kingdom enjoys a significant and deeply relations with the United States of America.
During the meeting Al Rashid discussed different ways and means of further relations with the newly appointed U.S. Consul in Dhahran, Timothy J. Bounds on Monday, October 18 at the chamber headquarters.
Explaining that the Saudi economy has kept growing since the Saudi government spending on infrastructure projects. Saying that hundreds of industrial projects currently being implemented in all parts of the country by billions of dollars , pointing to the importance of the Eastern region
Furthermore,Al Rashid explained that the Kingdom has benefited from its joining the WTO, which has reduced trade barriers, resulting in an increase in exports Saudi Arabia, especially petrochemical products as the foreign investment began to flow to a large extent.
He also stressed the need for the U.S. experience in the IT services sector of the oil and gas industries and the desired cooperation between small and medium enterprises in both countries.
Saying that Asharqia Chamber is constantly working to develop small and medium enterprises, referring that it held many activities having now five sub-offices established in various locations in the region to serve the business and now includes more than 41,000 member as well as having a separate center for businesswomen.
