    Al Ammar meets with Sri Lankan Minister of Trade and emphasizes the importance of the exchange of experiences between the two countries

    Member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber Abdul Hakim bin Hamad El-Amar said that the importance of tariff exhibitions aimed at the mainstream products in the market. Al Ammar said during a meeting with visiting Sri Lankan Minister for trade and industry, Rashad bathiodin and his Entourage to attend the Chamber's Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-wabil Sunday 15 June 2014 at Dammam main room that held regular meetings between businessmen of the two countries to enable them to benefit from the exchange of experiences, knowledge and business partnerships that increase the level of trade between the two countries. The Sri Lankan Minister said during the meeting that Sri Lanka was keen on the exhibition aimed to promote tourism to several exhibitions in the main regions of Saudi Arabia (Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah) in order to attract investment and tourists as the next October held several mobile exhibitions in those areas.

    Bathiodin called on businessmen in the Kingdom to invest in Sri Lanka's tourism sector, pointing out that his country has become the most attractive tourist destination in Southeast Asia. With frequent visits from tourists from the Gulf, especially Saudi Arabia in recent years, recorded in the year 2013, more than 24,000 Saudi tourists compared to the year 2012, which visit the 19 tourists, visit the 2.5 million tourists from all over the world in 2016. Bathiodin Called during the presentation made at the meeting-Saudi investment in tourism and other construction projects in Sri Lanka, where the development of tourist facilities such as hotels, motels, resorts and entertainment centers to be the most profitable projects after the announcement of a new package of incentives to foreign investors by the Government. Bathiodin said that trade relations with Saudi Arabia have seen marked improvement with Sri Lankan exports to the Kingdom in the year 2013, more than 64.4 million dollars while imports amounted to 110.6 million dollars.
