In a lecture held Sunday, February 28, 2016 in the Chamber's branch in Qatif he added that the concept of EDM, is the distribution of enterprise resources process in a way that speeds achieving the goal, this is done by defining the administrative divisions, determining the powers and authorities granted to each department, and determining the relations and ways of communication between departments, the advantages of this process are in helping to show the importance and the extent of the contribution made by the organizational unit, and also the help to reduce inconsistencies and duplication and the interfere between the goals of the different levels and avoiding them the obscurity, as well as determining the quality and extent of the activity by the Director to each unit and every individual in the organization in addition to providing the necessary standards to measure the performance of units, and to achieve the distinction between goals and objectives and means.
Owaid has reviewed during the lecture which witnessed a significant presence of those interested in the personal skills required for owners and small business managers, notably (the ability to hard work and determination to succeed despite the difficulties, and careful work, and a willingness to take careful risks to seize the opportunity, and the ability to organize time and determine priorities in the work, and the ability to find the necessary information to complete the work, the ability to learn from mistakes and avoid them in the future, and being opened to new ideas and innovative advanced development project, and you should have faith in your ability to make the project successful and overcome difficulties.
And regarding the most important administrative difficulties faced by small business owners, Owaid mentioned the lack of leadership and management expertise that fit the changes, and not to devolute powers and responsibilities, and the unwillingness of the owner manager in the appointing individuals with skill and a scientific level higher than him, and not performing any development and innovation to face the competition, and not to search for information on the markets and suppliers, and not searching for new designs and the regulations and standards of modern operating techniques.
In order to avoid failure in small projects Owaid emphasizes the importance of good planning, and using a good accounting system, and preparing storing system on the modern way, recognizing the imposed laws and regulations, and not to rush the process of designation employees and workers , and not to give the blind trust for the employees and workers, especially in the financial aspects, and dealing with foreign suppliers traders with caution and attention.
