On Monday, 5 November 2018, the Director of Investment Development Department in Qatif Governorate Municipality, Eng. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Sinan reviewed the municipality's preparations for offering 267 investment opportunities that are available to the business sector in the governorate, during a workshop organized by the Asharqia Chamber in its branch in Qatif.
The workshop was conducted by the Chairman of the Business Council at Qatif Branch, Abdulmohsen bin Abdul Majid Al-Faraj.
It witnessed a significant attendance by businessmen and interested parties.
During the workshop, AlSinan stressed that the proposed opportunities varied in several different sectors including nutrition, entertainment, hospitality, logistics, industrial, education, commercial and health centers.
The workshop also discussed the advantages of investment in the municipal sector, and the resources available to Qatif governorate in addition to electronic services.
Al-Sinan noted that the Municipality of Qatif will offer a range of opportunities at different stages.
He pointed out that 12 investment opportunities were raised for the business sector, after the Municipality of the province touched the willingness and readiness of the sector during the first and second edition of "Qatif investment Forum", which is organized by Asharqia Chamber in recent years. This indicated that the rest of the projects will be ready during the coming period.
He pointed to the keenness of the Municipality of the province to provide all services to the business sector through electronic services to achieve the goal of facilitating access to all new projects and investment opportunities and all information and details related to them.
Al-Sinan pointed out to a number of projects in different sectors, notably 30 opportunities in tourism sector, 144 in the commercial sector, 25 in the service sector, and 10 in the industrial sector.
For his part, the Chairman of the Business Council, Abdulmohsen Al-Faraj, thanked the officials of the Municipality of the province for their response and constant contact with the business sector.
He stressed that this communication stems from the keenness of the Municipality to develop the facilities of the province.
He pointed out that Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Business Council in Qatif, is keen to support the business sector by organizing meetings and programs that open the field and offer opportunities to them, in addition to specialized meetings that are held by the specialized agencies in the financing of investment and tourism projects.
