British Ambassador announces British companies interest in investing in renewable energy projects
Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Rashid, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, confirmed that the Eastern province is the capital of industry in the Kingdom and is a main center for energy and
related fields.
He explained in his speech that there are many new petrochemical, mining and industrial projects coming in Jubail Industrial City and Ras Alkeer pointing out that the Province contains almost half of the industrial investments in the Kingdom and contributes to over 60 per cent of the gross domestic product of the country.
Al Rashid called British companies to invest in the Province and to create partnerships with their counterparts in the Kingdom, referring to valuable investment opportunities, especially after the facilities offered by the Kingdom for foreign investment, stressing that the Kingdom is witnessing great presence of British companies with more than 200 companies in partnerships with Saudi companies.
