The number of subscribers of the Chamber by the end of the fiscal year 2013 has reached (54286) jointly with a growth rate of 15.5 in 2012, coinciding with an expansion of the Chamber for its subscribers in cities and provinces and the region where the number of centers and branches were (16) centers and branches, covering all areas of the eastern region. The Chamber's Chairman Abdulrahman bin Saleh otaishan, who was speaking before the General Assembly meeting for the Chamber held on Tuesday (6/2014) in the presence of members of the Board of Directors and the Director of the internal trade Department of Commerce Yahya ibn Ali Sultan and attended by a number of subscribers.
Alotaishan during his speech to the achievements made in the Chamber last year and attributed to cooperation between the Management Board and its secretariat and executive members and all sectors of the Chamber, the Chamber plan of action in the service of business and the development of the business environment in the region to raise the performance of the national economy. Al otaishan gave thanks to his Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the eastern region, and to his Deputy, HRH Prince Galloway bin Abdulaziz for the Chamber business support and guidance, and also thanked the Chairman and members of the Chamber Board of the 16th session on their efforts in the service business area, subscribers also commended departments and governmental agencies which continued with the Chamber at various events, and interacted with organized activities and cooperated with them in responding to the advancing of recommendations and proposals, It was helpful for the private sector to achieve many of its programs, and support for the mission and goals, and appreciated the high interactive role of the Chamber with subscribers to its initiatives and projects of the Chamber, praising the role of the Secretariat in Chamber and the Executive and all employees who stood up for the mission and the pursuit of strategic objectives. For his part, Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman Abdullah Al-wabil reviewed the report of achievements and services during the past year and said that the room in 2013 to prepare more than 50 study, research and economic report, working paper, and more than 10 articles on major economic issues, and more from 5 visuals on various economic topics. The legal advisory services were provided during the 2013 consulting Chamber (600) the beneficiary, (211) a telephone consultation, and (389) consult with me, as stood in front of the Chamber (24) complaint was resolved (12) issue, and the (23) trade issue was resolved (9) issues, and the Chamber completed two out of 5 arbitration cases worth 50 million riyals.
As for the East Chamber Center services for employment, Alwabil said that the Chamber represented by the Chamber's employment center established (31) for employment, in collaboration with a number of installations and the number of job-seekers participating in these events (5354) student Act, the Centre participated in 17 exhibition and forum for employment, the number of establishments benefiting from the employment center services (1566) origin, was approximately (10085) functional. According to Alwabil the Chamber was provided during the past year 467 consulting for small and medium-sized enterprises, including the financial and administrative consulting, marketing, technical, and many programs have been organized, lectures and training courses that support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the eastern region, such as (the how to start your small business program and its decimal partnership, how to prepare feasibility studies, lecture marketing optimization). The Chamber has got Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid best initiative to support entrepreneurship at the level of Arab world to 2013.
In support of women's economic activity, for the business center in 2013 than (256) informational service in the fields of economy, small and medium-sized enterprises in feasibility studies, in addition to organizing (14) workshop (30) seminar and lecture, some small projects. The international relations and foreign delegations the East Chamber saw during the last year more than 40 talks and a visit to the business people in the region with trade delegations from countries around the world in 2013, and the involvement of business in the area business councils (foreign-Arabic). In terms of partnerships and cooperation with governmental institutions and international and private Chamber have partnerships with many local and international institutions for the growth and development of the eastern region and its community.
On the social responsibility of the Chamber Alwabil mentioned a distinctive balance in this regard perhaps highlighted that total business contributions to friends of patients during the year almost $ 5 million, as well as the contribution of the room through the events and organizing a region on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and participate in the national day celebrations and interaction and support of many institutions and nonprofits for community service.
