Member of council of Asharqia Chamber, Najib bin Abdullah Al Sehati urged Taiwanese companies to think about entering the Saudi market through establishing their business and investing opportunities in the Kingdom.
Al Sehati said during a meeting with Taiwanese trade delegation in Asharqia Chamber on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, which has witnessed the presence of the Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel and a number of businessmen and interested figures that the investment climate in the eastern region is very convenient, being the industrial beating heart of the Kingdom in particular and the Gulf in general, noting to the partnerships between businessmen of both countries to establish industries basis in Saudi.
Al Sehati said the kingdom is proceeding in the variation of industries, quotating the announcement of Vision 2030, which mainly aims at reducing the Kingdom dependence on oil returns, which is a golden opportunity for international companies to look for new investment opportunities in the field of trade and business in the Kingdom, stressing that a number of Taiwanese companies have observed a distinctive presence in the Saudi market, pointing to the necessity of enhancing this presence and this bilateral trade.
The delegation that consist of 23 members - during an accompanied gallery- has represented a variety of products and services, including specialized companies in the recycling machinery industry, solar systems, wireless communication equipments, plumbing materials and fixtures, kitchen ware and clothes, frozen fish and a group of fashion and accessories.
It is worth mentioning that the amount of the bilateral trade, according to local statistics of the Saudi government in 2014, amounts to more than 58.8 billion riyals, Saudi imports from Taiwan reached to more than 7.5 billion riyals, while its exports to Taiwan amounts to about 51.3 billion riyals.
