Asharqia Chamber in cooperation with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority organize a workshop on "Calculation Mechanism for the Food Sector" at the Chamber's Branch in Khafji Governorate on Wednesday 6 March 2019 at 10 am.
The workshop will review the importance of presenting calories to the customers of the food sector, such as restaurants and cafes in a clear way.
They should be presented in front of the side of the menu for each item of food in the list of food and drinks provided to the client, and to be placed on all types of menus offered permanently, whatever the mechanism of supply.
The workshop also will discuss the calculation of calories by displaying the contents of the dish,
If the food dish is presented in the form of individual units divided, the calories should be presented per unit.
Calorie advertising should be considered separately for all side menu items, such as sweets and foods.
