Although the US dollar performed well in 2018 through rising against 18 currencies and ranging between 0.85 per cent and 102.44 per cent, but it fell against 3 currencies namely the Japanese yen, Thai baht, Mexican peso, ranging between 2.23 per cent and 0.05 per cent.
According to the monitoring unit of the newspaper AlEqtisadiah about the dollar performance against 21 currencies during the period between 29 December 2017 until 31 December 2018, the US currency rose against the Argentine peso by 102.44 percent, from 18.61 to 37.68 Argentine pesos.
The second currency that the dollar rose against was the "Turkish Lira" by 39.23 per cent from TRY 3.79 to TRY 5.28.
It also rose against the Russian ruble by 21.11 percent from 57.66 to 69.83 rubles.
The dollar rose against the Brazilian Real by 17.17 per cent from 3.31 to 3.88 riyals and followed by the Australian Dollar, which rose 10.44% from 1.28 to A $ 1.42.
The Indian rupee came in sixth, with the dollar climbing 9.28 percent from 63.84 to 69.76 rupees, and followed by the Swedish krona, which rose 9.07 percent from 8.20 kronor to 8.95 kronor on December 31, 2018.
The US dollar rose against the Canadian Dollar by 8.21 percent from 1.26 to 1.36 Canadian dollars, and then the ninth currency was "Polish zloty" as the dollar rose against it by 7.95 per cent from 3.48 to 3.76 zlotys.
It rose against the Indonesian rupiah of 6.1 per cent from 13567.5 to 14,458.5, and followed by the British Pound, which rose 6.10 per cent from 0.74 to 0.79.
In the 12th place, the "Chinese yuan", as the dollar rose by 5.72 percent from 6.51 to 6.88 yuan, and then the "euro" by 4.91% from 0.83 to 0.87 euros.
In the 14th ranking, the "Korean won" came as the dollar rose 4.37% from 1067.38 to 1114.05 won,
Then the "Taiwan Dollar", as the dollar rose against by 3.02% from 29.67 to 30.56 Taiwan dollars.
The dollar also rose against the "Vietnamese Dong" by 2.31 percent from 22710 to 23235.5 dong, as well as its rise against the Swiss franc by 1.05% from 0.97 to 0.98 francs.
At the 18th and final level, the Egyptian pound, as it rose against by 0.85 percent from 17.78 to 17.93 pounds
In contrast, the US dollar fell against the Japanese yen by 2.23 percent, against the Thai baht by 0.48 per cent, and against the Mexican peso by 0.05 per cent.
