Saudi Aramco and ExxonMobil will shut its 400,000 barrels per day (bpd) joint-venture Yanbu refinery in March for maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.Samref, the joint-venture refinery between the world's top oil exporter and the U.S. oil giant, is scheduled to be brought offline for about 45 days, a company source had previously said.
"The coming one is a major turnaround," he said.
The refinery, on the Red Sea coast, exports mainly gasoline and gas oil.
A major turnaround takes place every 8 years and a partial shutdown occurs every 4 years, reports Reuters.
