Oil fell 1% yesterday, as the markets opened after Western air strikes in Syria earlier this week, while prices were under additional pressure from the increased US drilling.
Brent crude futures were at $ 71.85 a barrel by 0547 GMT.
US crude futures were down 57 cents, 0.9 percent, at $ 66.82 a barrel.
Nevertheless, Brent is still up more than 16% from the low record of 2018 in February due to strong demand, conflicts and tensions in the Middle East.
