Saudi Aramco will increase production capacity to 12 million barrels per day by June, 2009. The increase will coincide with the begining of production at the new oil facility in Khurais that will pump 1.2 million barrels a day.
This increase in production could have been achieved by last March but it was delayed because some aspects of the project were not completed in time.
Senior officials of Saudi Aramco have already started preparations for the celebration which will be attended by senior officials of the State
