Asharqia Chamber extends its best regards to you, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45515365/1) dated (14/7/1446 AH), which refers to the urgent telegram from the Ministry of Commerce No. (22574) dated (7/7/1446 AH) and attached to the telegram of His Excellency the CEO of the General Authority for Food and Drug No. (30871/10) dated (5/7/1446 AH), which includes the Authority’s follow-up of international reports related to food safety in countries of the world, and based on the immediate notification report issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) dated (6/12/2024 AD) which states that the Infectious Haematopoietic Necrosis Virus (IHNV) disease has been controlled in the province of Liege in the Kingdom of Belgium, and that no new outbreaks of the disease have been recorded there, and after referring to the recommendations issued by the World Organization for Animal Health contained in Article (6.10) of the Animal Health Constitution states that the ban can be lifted, and whereas the Authority’s Decision No. (30528/10) dated (2/7/1446 AH) was issued regarding lifting the temporary ban on the import of farmed salmon and its products from the province of (Liege) in the Kingdom of Belgium.
