Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber extends its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter from the General Authority for Food and Drug No. (3861/1) dated (25/8/1446 AH), and based on the Authority’s supervisory role on imported products to verify their safety and compliance with the Authority’s requirements and conditions and approved technical regulations, and to facilitate and expedite the process of completing the procedures for clearing shipments and inspecting them in importers’ warehouses whenever necessary. The Authority expects importers of products subject to its control to do the following:
Follow up on the status of shipments according to what is received from the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority
Speed up the process of communicating with the Authority to complete the procedures of shipments, especially those referred for inspection at the importer’s warehouse
Emphasize compliance with the terms and requirements of clearance and the necessary documents that must be provided to complete the procedures
Provide the Authority with all contact information for those responsible for clearance in addition to the location of the warehouses by sending it to the email of the Clearance Governance Department
