Four topics on the table of the Women's Economic Forum this November
Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Prince of the Eastern Province, Asharqia Chamber is preparing to host the activities of the eighth edition of the Women's Economic Forum 2024 on November 19-20, which is organized by the Chamber under the title (Empowering Effective Leadership), in order to enhance the economic role of Saudi women, review the impact of their participation on economic growth, shed light on women's performance in light of implementing the goals of Vision 2030, and discuss the opportunities and capabilities available to empower effective leadership, in addition to identifying aspects of development in the Kingdom and the region and the role of women in its various fields. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Badr bin Suleiman Al-Rizaiza, appreciated the patronage of the Prince of the Eastern Province for this year's forum, pointing out the extent of His Highness's interest in supporting women's movement in the Eastern Province in order to double their contributions to development. Al-Rizaiza considered the forum an opportunity for more women's interactions in economic fields, learning about successful experiences and initiatives, and expanding the horizons of cooperation between businesswomen, noting that despite the different titles and goals of the Women's Economic Forum in each of its sessions, it is based on one vision and message, which is to support women's participation in economic development.
Al-Rizaiza stressed that the efforts made to empower women at all levels had the greatest impact in increasing their participation rate, calling on women to show solidarity among themselves to participate effectively in Vision 2030, expecting that this year's forum will conclude with a set of recommendations in line with the aspirations of Saudi women for the future, especially with the presence of a distinguished group of participants.
He said (We are in an important phase in which the national economy is moving towards diversifying sources and exploiting resources, which requires greater activation of human resources from both sexes), noting that the female element possesses many capabilities and talents that need to be activated and the right frameworks put in place to exploit them optimally. Al-Rizaiza pointed out that the forum of the year is launched through four main axes, concerned with the effective leadership of women and the extent of their ability to influence. The first axis discusses: Saudi women in light of Vision 2030, while the second reviews the opportunities and capabilities of women in entrepreneurship, while the third axis comes to shed light on the pivotal role of women in economic development, while the fourth and final axis is concerned with training and its importance in qualifying female leaders. Al-Rizaiza noted that the Chamber seeks, by launching the eighth edition of the Women's Economic Forum, to enhance the role of women in economic life, noting that the forum will witness the participation of a large number of academics, specialists, interested women and women with pioneering leadership experiences.
