Asharqia Chamber organizes a meeting to review the importance of the commercial identity of the establishment

Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Chamber's Entrepreneurship Incubator, organized a meeting entitled "Identity is not just a slogan" on Sunday evening, November 17, 2024, at the incubator's headquarters in the Asharqia Chamber Tower.

The CEO of Identity Marketing Company, Ali bin Saleh Al-Humaidan, reviewed several definitions of identity that highlight its meanings, which are represented in the name, description and design for the purpose of identifying the products or services of an establishment to distinguish it from competitors, or it is the sum of intangible specifications of a product or service such as name, design, packaging, price, history, reputation and advertising style.

Al-Humaidan said that identity consists of words that reflect the name, verbal slogan and marketing messages, as well as the image that reflects the visual slogan, colors, theme, fonts and a set of images, in addition to containing values, impressions and expectations, and the voice, which is the way the brand communicates with its audience, whether through voice messages or through the written style in advertisements and texts.
Regarding how to build an identity, Al-Humaidan stressed that this comes after several steps starting with research, study, designing the identity, launching, communication, developing the identity, and measuring, pointing out that the reasons for the failure of some emerging projects are due to the incorrect identification of the target audience, not interacting with them positively, not highlighting the competitive advantage, and also promising to work on something that is not achieved, in addition to unstudied, unclear, and scattered advertising methods, which results in a weak identity and incorrect identity management. Regarding the reasons that emphasize the need to develop the identity, Al-Humaidan said that several reasons lead to this, namely, a decrease in sales or entering a new market, or launching a new service or product, an increase in the number of competitors, a major development of the facility since improving the last version of the identity, the difficulty of attracting competencies to the facility, and finally the weakness of the identity compared to competitors.
